Welcome - Therapy at Renew Counseling Center
Everyone faces difficult times in life where they need a little extra support. It takes great courage and strength to seek help and explore the possibility of beginning therapy when things are difficult. Chances are, if you have found your way here it is because you or someone you care about is feeling overwhelmed, stuck, discouraged, or disconnected in some area of life. As a therapist, I feel honored to journey alongside people who are struggling personally or relationally in order to help them draw on their strengths and overcome life’s challenges.
Renew Counseling Center provides therapy to individuals and couples in Pasadena, California and the surrounding San Gabriel Valley. At Renew Counseling Center, I (Dr. Foss) work with a wide variety of individuals and couples. However, I specialize in working with college students and early career professionals. Many of my clients come to therapy because of relationship difficulties, identity struggles (e.g. self-esteem, career, sexuality, imposter syndrome), and/or major life transitions (e.g. work-life balance, career/school shifts, grief/loss). I have extensive experience helping people facing significant stressors that result in feelings of depression, anxiety, and loneliness. I enjoy working with individuals who feel disconnected from themselves, peers, or significant others and helping those who struggle with feeling like they aren’t good enough. At Renew Counseling Center, I welcome people of all identities and have a great deal of experience working with men as well as people from a Christian background.
I strive to create a non-judgemental environment that is sensitive to cultural and diversity issues. Additionally, I have extensive experience working with individuals from highly diverse cultural backgrounds (including international students), as well as individuals who identify as part of the LGBTQ community. I welcome people of all identities and backgrounds and encourage my clients to explore and share these important aspects of themselves in therapy.
