Dr. Jessica Foss is the founder of Renew Counseling Center and is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of California (PSY28674), currently serving clients in Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley. She received a Ph.D in Clinical Psychology from Fuller Graduate School of Psychology, an MA in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary, and a BA in Psychology from Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles.

Interests and Training

Dr. Foss developed her expertise for working with college/graduate students and early career professionals through her prior clinical experiences at university counseling centers (Caltech, Pepperdine University, and Cal State University, Fullerton). Thus, she understands that this stage of life brings many joys as well as a plethora of challenges. Dr. Foss has a particular interest in working with people experiencing depression or anxiety due to difficulties related to their relationships, identity, self-worth, or past trauma (childhood abuse, sexual trauma, emotional abuse). Additionally, she has extensive experience working with men’s issues and providing male-sensitive psychotherapy.

Dr. Foss completed an Externship in Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples and uses these skills to help couples reconnect and heal their relationships. Additionally, she has over 7 years of experience helping individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders feel more at ease, confident, and connected. Dr. Foss is also trained in providing integrative therapy to clients who wish to incorporate their religion or spirituality into treatment.
